Weekly Plan

A PhD rarely slips in one dramatic moment. It slips one unplanned week at a time. Choose three outcomes that would make this a good research week, keep everything else around them, and review what actually happened on Friday.

How to use it
  • Write outcomes, not activities. “Methods section 3.2 drafted” rather than “work on methods”.
  • Block time in your calendar for each of the three before the week fills up.
  • At the end of the week, answer the review questions before you plan the next one.
